  11. WHY do AMOS applications access the hard drive so frequently????

  13. I've had many AMOS applications which cause the hard drive to chirp (light
  14. blinks on and off about every 1 or 2 seconds) throughout the time the
  15. application is running.  WHAT is it doing to my system or WHY is it doing
  16. this??  As far as I know, there shouldn't be any reason to be reading the HD
  17. that frequently -- this even happens if I decompress the file to RAM: and run
  18. it from there.

  20. I've had several HD invalidations thanks to this (esp with lame AMOS programs
  21. not allowing you to quit from them), and I find it very frustrating.  I don't
  22. plan to use AMOS apps again...

  24. Reminds me of some older games which keep the floppy drive spinning.
